Notes and Editorial Reviews
This is a recording that happily bridges the divide between 'middle of the road' and 'authentic' and one that should please devotees of either species; it conveys, vividly but not theatrically, the spirit of the music—and without misrepresentation... As if all this were not enough, there is the unusual bonus of the multiple concertos.

reviewing the Vivaldi recordings
Accardo brings to these performances all his formidable virtuosity and artistry, displaying superb technique, pure intonation and an ever present sense of style and good taste. In this he is well matched by the LPO under Charles Dutoit...

reviewing the Paganini Violin Concerto no 1
Accardo succeeds in making Paganini's most routine phrases sound like the noblest utterances and he invests these Caprices with an eloquence far beyond the sheer display they offer. There are no technical obstacles and, both in breath and tone and in grandeur of conception, he is peerless. He observes all the repeats and has an excellent CD transfer.
