The Rolling Stones

The British rock band The Rolling Stones was formed in 1962 by Brian Jones and Ian Stewart. Two new members join the group the same year, guitarist Keith Richards and singer Mick Jagger. In 1963, Bill Wyman (bass) and Charlie Watts (drums) complete the group. Gradually, they are Mick and Keith who will take the role of songwriters and therefore the direction of the training. Blues is an inspiration for the group, and so he took the name of "Rolling Stones" which comes from a song by Muddy Waters (Rollin 'stone). The Rolling Stones are very successful in the UK with their covers of blues and rhythm and blues. They are exported to the US and become very popular in the 1960s It was not until 1965 that the group was made known worldwide with their single "I Can not Get No". In 1966 the sound of the Stones became sole right out of their Aftermat album. In 1990, the Stones are 200 million albums sold worldwide.
